Joyce Kleinman told us at the last Learn to Earn (Phoenix) that one of the most important things to do if you exhibit Xocai Healthy Chocolate at a trade show is to follow up. Of course, you can’t follow up with people unless you get their information.

Cacao seeds are a “Super Fruit”: A comparative analysis of various fruit powders and products
Numerous popular media sources have developed lists of “Super Foods” and, more recently, “Super Fruits”. Such distinctions often are based on the antioxidant capacity and content of naturally occurring compounds such as polyphenols within those whole fruits or juices of the fruit which may be linked to potential health benefits. Cocoa powder and chocolate are made from an extract of the seeds of the fruit of the Theobroma cacao tree. In this study, we compared cocoa powder and cocoa products to powders and juices derived from fruits commonly considered “Super Fruits”.

An oldie but a goodie (from 2007):
Cocoa ‘vitamin’ health benefits could outshine penicillin
The health benefits of epicatechin, a compound found in cocoa, are so striking that it may rival penicillin and anaesthesia in terms of importance to public health, reports Marina Murphy in Chemistry & Industry, the magazine of the SCI. Norman Hollenberg, professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, told C&I that epicatechin is so important that it should be considered a vitamin.
